The "Key Points for the 2023 Work of the Interdepartmental Coordination Mechanism for Water Conservation Work" (hereinafter referred to as the "Key Points") has been officially issued recently. The "Key Points" refine and propose 27 key points, covering key industries such as agriculture, industry, and urban life, covering various aspects such as water-saving system policies, technology promotion, publicity and education, and unconventional water source utilization.

In 2021, China's total water consumption reached 592.1 billion cubic meters, an increase of 10.81 billion cubic meters compared to 2020, a year-on-year increase of 1.86%. Among them, the total amount of agricultural water used in China in 2020 was 361.24 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 6.99 billion cubic meters compared to 2019.
